Does the crazies follow the classic Hollywood narrative? why or why not?
The film begins with a break of the Hollywood it starts right in the beginning of the film chronological,it then goes straight back to the beginning of the narrative,so as we see it on film there is no equilibrium then there is. Also through the film it doesn't follow a strict Hollywood narrative because by end of the film there is no restoration of equilibrium. This is done because it is a common convention of the Horror Genre that they end with no narrative resolution,in the crazies this is done b showing that the next town is going to be "contained" as well and this time on a much bigger scale.
How many of the Propp's character types can be identified in the film?
There are a few of Propp's character types in this movie but there is a lack of an concrete characters,There are a few character types
David/Judy are he heroes and are the main protagonists of the story.
Russell is possibly the false hero,helper or donor and is there to help David and Judy
Apart from that there is no specific characters.
There are no specific villains in the film but the group of villains would be the government in the first place

Good/Evil-The good are the towns people for being innocent and the government are the evil for creating the Virus in the first place and killing innocents.
Infected/Not Infected- This ones quite obvious,infected being people trying to kill the Non infected.
The Government/Everyone else-The government made the virus in the first place and then in there attempts to stop them killed even more innocent people,Everyone else is victims of the government and some of them try to go against what the are doing.
Nature/Science-Science in this film is the result of everyone's issues,if there was no chemical made there would be no need to ship it to be burned which would have not caused it to have crashed which had have caused nature to stay on its course.
Living/Dead-Much like ever horror film there is ever present life and death in the end its survival and you live or you die.

Day 3-Fighting off the infected and running from the government,the 4 friends hide in the car wash which is full of infected people.
The non-infected town folk on the trucks being brutal murdered and burnt to a crisp (not shown on screen)-objects show what has happened (empty gun shells & burnt bodies)
